A thought of Memories

ski trip of seven springs

We live in a time of reflection. A time of what only seems like yesterday. I often look back at some old photos of mine that I took with my phone. You start to realize, sometimes being able to see or visualize those old memories often becomes faint. So like everybody else, you go through your gallery, and after a while, you find that one image you couldn't quite make in your mind. You stare at it and smile. Then you stare into the distance as you close your eyes to hear and feel the sound of laughter. As someone who has done this very thing, I understand and learn of how much we rely on old images of ourselves. The one person in my life that I can't get enough of seeing in my mind is my younger me. The younger me that yearned for Christmas, that couldn't wait to open the gifts Mom and Dad bought for me and my brother. Life goes on, faster than you can imagine. So to this day, I hold on to every single photo of mine.
